Overview:

This position will help to set up a new Medical Laboratory and oversee the operation of a new laboratory.

Responsibilities:-

• Oversee the Medical Laboratory operation 
• Setup / Review　Laboratory SOP　for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of assays done.
• Extracts DNA or RNA from different biological samples. Quantification and quality control of DNA
• Performs various molecular techniques related to next-generation sequencing (NGS) and qPCR
• Operate molecular diagnostic equipment and instruments according to SOPs
• Perform quality control and maintenance check
• Perform any other professional duties as specified by the supervisor

Requirements:

• MSc/PhD in Medical Laboratory Sciences/ Biomedical Sciences or equivalent
• Holder of a valid practising license (Part I) issued by HK MLT Board
• 10 years working experiences in Molecular diagnosis laboratory
• Prior experience and knowledge of accreditation is an advantage
• Excited in research & development of latest NGS techniques is an advantage　
• Good personal integrity, responsible and trustworthy 
• Good team player with good interpersonal and leadership skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluent in both English & Chinese
