Job Description

Factory Product Safety Process Control

  • Manage Product Integrity auditors and on-site support on all product safety matters.
  • Implement appropriate Product Safety Management practices, like Product Safety Assessment across vendor base to ensure products and processes are compliant to the best practice and process standards expected, reacting quickly to manage any safety concern.
  • Conjunction with the Corp team for vendor onboarding process across countries and Regional QA team for vendor improvement process.
  • Implement and support vendor management for onboarding program and manufacturing capability in different product categories, like apparel, footwear, accessories, toy, and hardgoods.
  • Manage and maintain the Product Safety Assessment Summary.
  • Provide training for cross-functional partners on quality and safety topics.

 CGS Product Integrity Auditor and Factory Product Safety Officer development

  • Develop and coach the Product Integrity Auditor in region countries.
  • Provide the guidance to Product Integrity Auditor to communicate with the factory to identify and offer the dedicated Product Safety Officer to cover their factory activities.
  • Establish Product Safety Officers in all production facilities, conducting training and auditing regularly to ensure total compliance and managed risk.
  • Suggest and coordinate regular PSO training to develop the competency.

 Product Risk assessment process

  • Support the product risk assessment process.
  • Review product for potential compliance concerns, consult with designers, merchants, product development and sourcing staff on product safety concerns in design and sampling stages.
  • Communicate with Product Integrity, Raw Material and Sourcing teams on material / chemical compliance and reporting issues, making recommendations to address concerns. 

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in apparel, textile engineering / Chemistry, or other industry-related field.
    Knowledge of tools and methodologies of QA/QC.
  • Experience in implementing processes and procedures and collaborating with vendors, testing laboratories and third party sourcing agents.
  • Experience implementing and addressing regulatory requirements in a supplier quality or new product development environment.
  • Capable of creating and excellent presentations skills  to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin
