We're excited to open a new vacancy for a dedicated Sourcing Engineer for our team - this is a vacancy for someone who is enthusiastic about "doing it the right way". You will be heavily involved in supplier identification and development working with the Product Development function to deliver components at all levels including mechanical parts. 

Job Duties

• Manage sourcing activity coordination and processes for sourcing duties relating to new product development
• Work closely with engineers to get the technical requirements and act as a technical liaison between suppliers and engineers
• Participate in the supplier evaluation including screening, sampling, trial run and audit
• Research potential sources of supply for purchased products for cost saving and reducing supply risk
• Create new supplier entries in the system and maintain the related information
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier networks and partnerships to meet the needs of the business
• Research new technologies to enhance existing product offerings
• Occasional travel to visit new suppliers

Requirements

• Tertiary or above in relevant disciplines
• 3-5 years relevant experience in sourcing of mechanical parts, experience in sourcing motors would be advantageous 
• Excellent vendor management
• Good team player
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Good command in English and Mandarin, fluent in Cantonese is beneficial
• Hong Kong citizen/resident or other immigration status with no restrictions for work in HK preferred, but visa sponsorship may be considered on merit
• We support expatriates returning from other countries to settle in Hong Kong as well as those settling here currently
