Responsibilities:

• Support & contribute to the development process actively by proposing alternative garment execution, to fully optimize garment targets of design, quality & price
• Work with Global Planning to ensure seasonal allocations are made in line with vendor capability & capacity
• Negotiate FOB of products directly with suppliers, meet seasonal margin targets, minimum of production & production lead times
• Coordinate with merchandising, design & development teams to provide cost estimates & development options at initial line to meet margin goals
• Support to manage, execute time & action plans to ensure on time delivery of samples in good execution, quality and fit
• Research vendor & production strategies and investigate new sourcing opportunities in line with requirements of sourcing strategy
• Implement appropriate KPI’s for supply & vendor based. Targeting improvements / action plans where relevant to increase supply chain performance
• Support the collaboration with Global planning & materials manage pre-booking for materials as necessary to ensure on time delivery whilst minimizing liabilities
• Maintain strong business relationships with vendors for product development and production
• Ad hoc and general duties require from time to time to ensure work effectiveness

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in clothing, textile or related discipline preferred
• At least 3 years of solid working experience in Boardshorts categories, preferably gained in buying office or multi-national companies
• Experience on product development & understanding of manufacturing process is preferable
• Proficient in English & strong preference for Mandarin/Cantonese and or another relevant Asian language
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Understanding of apparel market and PLM system will be an advantage
