Our client is a young and energic freight forwarder company operating throughout Asia with 8 operational offices spread across key cities in Hong Kong & China.  

We are searching for an experienced procurement manager to join a rapidly growing team to be stationed out of the head office in Hong Kong.

You will be responsible for planning and managing demand and supply per major trade. Ensuring that the goals of the company from a sales & procurement manner our achieved. Be the contact for negotiating contracts for carriers in line with product and carrier strategy.

The ideal candidate would need to have previous exposure to the ocean freight industry, procurement, capacity management and the following experience:
 

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s in Business Administration/ Economics/ Logistics or Freight forwarding apprenticeship
• Six sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, LEAN Certification or PMP qualification *preferred
• 5-10 years relevant work experience (with at least 1 year at management)
• Proc-active and self-motivated with ability to work
• Interested in working in an international and multi-cultural environment
• Profound knowledge of markets & trends across Asia
