Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Monitor market intelligence and drive in-depth studies to facilitate strategy formulation
    • Monitor and analyse market intelligence including economic, visa & government policies, air connectivity & capacity, competitor activities, market potentials, consumer trend, etc. to enable a timely update to Management.
    • Conduct in-depth studies by translating business questions into research propositions. Anaylse data and information from multiple sources to form integrated learnings and insights with business perspectives.
    • Distill key findings and compile summary highlights from regular updates of business teams and worldwide offices. Assist Management to keep track of the progress and being alert of issues.
  • Assist to develop strategic plans
    • Assist to draw up market outlook with forward-looking implications to facilitate strategies formulation and informed business decisions.
    • Assist to drive the process of business planning and compile the Annual Business Plan.
    • Assist to align processes, resources planning, and department goals with the overall strategy.
    • Support senior members on presentations, ad-hoc research studies/strategic projects, etc.
  • Manage the different sources of tourism intelligence to facilitate research and internal knowledge sharing
    • Regularly review the current subscriptions and explore new or alternative tools/platforms to keep track of market intelligence.
    • Act as a centralised information source to provide insights to internal users and stakeholders. Implement rights management to foster copyright compliance in order to protect the intellectual assets of the HKTB.
    • Act as a document controller to prepare proper documentation and actions-to-take for internal business planning meetings and committee meetings.
Requirements
  • Degree holder with 8 years of working experience preferably in strategic planning, business analysis, consumer insights, journalism, or a related field.
  • Those who have worked in consulting firms/research firms or in-house strategic planning and related roles are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Good analytical skills - Have strong business acumen. Able to review and analyse large amounts of (quantitative/ qualitative) data and research findings to gain a precise understanding of the subject matter.
  • Good people skills - Able to effectively communicate, interact, and work with individuals and groups.
  • Good time management - Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise. Commit to quality and work to tight timelines and under pressure.
  • Agile and flexible - Be adaptable to new tasks and change of plan, manage ad-hoc requests that require fast turnaround, and tailor deliverables for different stakeholders.
