Job Description
Responsibilities
- To handle Calls (enquiries, requests and phone calls) from colleagues of the Inspectorate and the SPCA, members of the public, government departments and other agencies etc.
- Handle enquires and requests arising from these Calls, recording particulars of the caller and the contents of the calls as well as all the other relevant details as required accurately and promptly in accordance with the approved method and system.
- Pass Calls to the appropriate members of the Inspectorate for response actions and make appropriate records.
- Liaise with appropriate colleagues or other relevant persons in response to the different calls received and make appropriate records.
- Liaise with other agencies as and when required and make appropriate records.
- Monitor and record results of actions taken by colleagues resulting from Calls.
- Assist the unit in any other lawful duties including clerical, administration and support duties etc. as and when required.
Requirements
The successful candidate is expected to have the following requirements: -
- Post-secondary or above with at least three years’ relevant experience.
- Have good command of spoken English and Cantonese (Putongua language skills would be an advantage).
- Good communication skill and excellent telephone manner.
- Proficiency in MS Word & Excel.
- Able to deal with difficult callers.
- Friendly, outgoing, self initiative and able to work under pressure.
- Ready to work on shift duties (two-days on and two-days off) with 12 hours per shift.
- Amenable to discipline.
- Genuine interest in the welfare of all animals.
- Retired seniors are also welcome.
