Overview

The appointee will participate and influence product design of surgical robotic systems’ accessories. The engineer will champion their designs through all stages of product development, including Development, Testing, Risk Management, Verification & Validation, Design Control, DFMEA, and support into production release.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype mechanical fixtures and tooling – including CAD, manufacturing, assembly, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Participate in the development & execution of specifications, test methods and protocols to ensure the functionality, safety and efficacy of medical devices in accordance with medical device regulations.
• Participates in technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing. This includes test protocols and report to verify/validate new designs.
• Assist in development of design requirements and procedural steps by working with surgeons and opinion leaders.

Qualification

• Bachelor or above in Biomedical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• 1+ year relevant experience in Engineering. Fresh graduate with projects and internship experience also welcome.
• Affinity with clinical environment and medical device. Understanding of both clinical and mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience in SolidWorks CAD system.
• Strong technical problems skills with ability to identify root cause and drive corrective actions.
