Job Description

What you'll do:
  • Participate in government funded R&D projects on functional material development for different applications (e.g. CVD diamond, hydrogen energy, graphene, etc.)
  • Serve as a key member to support team head to manage current R&D projects on advanced material development and coach engineering officers for R&D project delivery
  • Identify R&D project ideas and assist in preparation of proposals related to advanced material technology
  • Support project prospection with clients and technology partners
  • Support ad hoc assignments when required

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
  • Doctoral degree in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related science/engineering disciplines from a local university
  • Research background with thin film, green energy and battery technology is a plus
  • Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fresh graduates are welcome, preferably with experience in technology research and development
  • Marketing related subjects taken in university is a plus
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
