Duties:
The appointee will mainly work on the development of PU different functional material and polymer composites for fire resistant materials, which can be applied in sports protection and construction field materials et al. He / She will work in a dynamic and efficient team which is responsible for R&D work, including experimental design, laboratory equipment operation, sample preparation, properties characterization, data analysis, performance testing, drafting proposals / meeting slides / reports / SOP / IP documents, in the following areas:

• Relate the structures to functional properties so as to understand origin of the long-standing problems in materials field;
• Collaborating with other research staff on R&D work;
• Collect and analyze experimental data, prepare research publications, and communicate results at professional meetings;
• Characterizations and testing at different process stages and evaluating the material performance;
• Scaling up process for trial production; and
• Performing other duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• PhD degree in Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Chemistry, Materials or related field. Fresh graduate will also be considered;
• Solid experience in different functional material formulation development, including organic reactions, polymer composite synthesis, compounds design, purification and characterization;
• Extensive knowledge in organic/inorganic chemistry and materials science;
• Familiar with data acquisition and image simulation software (For example: Gauss, ChemDraw, SEM, TEM and NMR et al.);
• Work independently and able to communicate in teamwork; and
• Good command of English and Chinese, articulate report writing/presentation skills as well as abilities in literature/patent search.
