Manage physical laboratory and maintain a high level of technical compliance and quality performance of the laboratory. Act as technical expert of the physical laboratory, responsible for developing / implementing new testing method and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties

• Implement management system and ISO 17025;
• Manage and improve operations workflow, processes and resources, to ensure work effectiveness and efficiency in the laboratory;
• Monitor the daily operation to ensure high level of technical compliance and quality performance of the laboratory;
• Develop and implement new testing method and regulatory; build up testing capacity to align with demands;
• Identify potential issues in the laboratory; analyze and provide timely resolution of technical problems;
• Provide technical training or seminars to clients or staff;
• Review data from technical personnel to reporting personnel; review and approve physical test report;
• Report inadequate resources to upper management;
• Finish ad-hoc job assigned by Manager;
• Estimation of the measurement uncertainty (MU) of Physical & Mechanical Testing, including the measurements for optical properties.

• Degree holder of Physics or Mechanical Engineering discipline;
• Master Degree holder in management or engineering is highly desirable;
• Approval signatory is a must;
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025 and accreditations requirement;
• In depth Knowledge of toy or consumer products standards/ requirements in various countries;
• Good trouble shooting and supervision, leadership skills;
• Good communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills;
• 3-5 years experiences in managing toy physical testing laboratory or worked in toy industry taking the role for quality control or quality assurance in management level;
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Supervisor;
• With at least 2 years’ experience for result review and MU preparation;
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Analytical mind and logical thinking;
• Strong technical knowledge.
