Job Description


Job Purpose:

The incumbent will support the Production operations, by providing assistant to supervisor in all sorts of production activities, including arranging the manufacturing of all new titles, reprints, new media product and non-book items etc, ensuring that they are produced to schedule, within cost budget and to an appropriate standard.

S/he will handle cost estimates and printing orders which are generated in system, follow up on product development and sampling, prepare required documents for book registrations and arrange for sample distribution etc. S/he is responsible to make sure titles are published on time, to budget and to required standard. Information is accurately uploaded to SAP and other systems.

This position requires a combination of focus, detail-minded, problem-solving and as well as a willingness to learn and interact with internal stakeholders and external partners.



Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitor production status, from output files to stock, ensuring that all the titles are produced at required standard.
  • Producing cost estimates, printing orders by using production system.
  • Ensure production schedules, progress, ordering status are up-to-date in system.
  • Communicate with suppliers and align with internal parties to resolve production and supply issues. Maintain effective working relationship with suppliers by giving correct instructions and guidelines.
Job Requirements:
  • Higher Diploma or above
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed; 1 year working experience preferred
  • Sound knowledge of publishing and print production
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word
  • Strong self-motivation, attentiveness to details and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task and work within a team environment
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Mandarin.
