Job Description
OFFICE OFFACULTY OF APPLIED SCIENCE AND TEXTILES
Designer (Ref. 22052506-JCS)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) develop concepts/ideas and lead design project for branding/marketing campaign across digital, broadcast, print and public relations;
(b) create editorial materials and adopt designs for projects including event identity development, packaging design, creating artwork, and other marketing collaterals, such as catalogues, posters, website banner, programme promotions, social media feeds, and other printed and digital media;
(c) create and develop high-quality images and videos with a focus on graphics, text, and animations for all promotional and social media channels;
(d) work closely with the marketing team for concept development, execution, and all creative deliberation in keeping with the University’s brand image;
(e) maintain website and web-based CRM system;
(f) provide technical and logistic support for the events; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognized degree in Communication Design, Advertising Design, Multi-media, Audio-Visual Technology, Web Design and Development or other relevant disciplines;
(b) have at least three years’ relevant post-qualification solid experience in advertising design, interactive media development, professional web/graphic design and internet applications;
(c) have solid skills of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, HTML, CSS PHP, preferably with experience in computer networking, maintenance and troubleshooting of Windows, and MAC;
(d) have knowledge of and/or interest in UX design, photography, video shooting and editing, preferably with proficiency in after effect;
(e) possess strong aesthetic sense, passion in creative design and visual storytelling skills;
(f) be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese, and preferably with fluency in Putonghua;
(g) have strong self-motivation, problem-solving and analytical skills;
(h) have good interpersonal and communication skills; and
(i) be able to work on multi-tasks and set priorities to meet deadlines.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Appointment will be on a one-year gratuity-bearing contract. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
