JOB DESCRIPTION

Demonstrate leadership
The main focus of the role is to lead and direct concurrent projects classified as projects, cross business units. On top of this, the position may also engage closely with a variety of stakeholders, including client, 3rd parties and vendors in all phases. He/She will present facts in a concise way and defining solutions to mitigate risks.
The right candidate should has decision making skills and assertiveness. He/She is able to take rational decisions based on a minimum of high-level information, provided by his/her team members and stakeholders.

Provide pre-sales support
The role engages with the Pre-Sales team in order to adequately define scope of work. The pre-sales scoping of the project would involve the completion of a proposal that includes, when applicable Project Management portfolio description, detailed task schedule, resource allocation and cost breakdown.

Manage project delivery and Customer interaction
This position will be required to manage projects directly with customer PIC and hence the right candidate should equip with good negotiation and presentation skills. He/She has a natural way of leading and motivating team members. He/She is meticulous and adheres to the company Quality standards/requirements, e.g. product/project documentation and requirement traceability. He/She ensures that the project delivers the as-sold solution/product, remains within the baselined budget and is delivered on time, while achieving quality criteria and maintaining client satisfaction.

Development team management
The role will assist development manager to ensure the team has access to the software development tools and have the general means to perform their role. The right candidate should has an analytic mind, which allows him to breakdown the software development into a clear Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for his team members. He/She is able to explain the WBS to his teams and can align their strength during the project.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary education in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
• 8 years or above experience in Software Development/Project Management/Technical Lead
• It is a must to have the ability, willingness, and desire to learn and embrace new, unfamiliar and emerging technologies.
• Experience in any of the following skill is an advantage: Container, JAVA programming, JavaScript/AJAX, JQuery, Python, SQL (Oracle or MySQL), CSS, Hibernate, Maven, GIT/SVN, UI/UX design.
• Effective communication skill. Fluent in Cantonese, proficiency in written English.
• Knowledge in Telecom/mobile industry is an advantage.
