Job Description

Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for analysing, maintaining, and enhancing core policy admin systems for different line of businesses (retail Life and Non-Life) and supporting users on different application systems.

The incumbent contributes to the I.T. operations to ensure it contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the overall operations of Generali offices.

The incumbent should keep abreast of new technologies. Able to adopt the latest technology to support the Company’s strategies.

Main Responsibility
  • Support new Life and non-Life product development per business sales plan
  • Design and develop comprehensive, robust, and automated operation process to support various new life products, flexible product Day 1 and Day 2 features as well as policy servicing and accounting modules
  • Responsible for business requirement analysis, system design, and implementation
  • Supporting users of the systems and assist for other BAU activities
  • Build robust and efficient policy issue and policy services admin system with Straight-Through integration with various front-end platforms
  • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
  • Prepare for functional specification and system documentation, manage project development and implementation as well as supporting users on change control and system updates
  • Analyse and identify requirements, bring-in possible solutions, simplicity and improve business
  • Streamline system processes for system simplification
  • Execute other projects or assignments as directed by Supervisor/Head of IT

Qualification and Experience Requirement
  • Degree in Computer Science or IT related disciplines
  • 1 year of hands-on working experience is preferable
  • Strong logical thinking
  • Clear understandings on RDBMS and programming fundamental
  • Knowledge in Java, Microservice, Python, SSIS, MS SQL, NoSQL is preferable
  • Experience with third-party libraries and integration layer is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem solving and presentation skills
  • Willing to learn and self-motivated
  • Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
