Project Manager – CMS (Leading Media Arm of a large MNC conglomerate) 

We are helping a MNC conglomerate’s media arm to search for a Project Manager to join their HK based IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the PMO evolution and working closely with the team to roll out the Content Management System projects amongst others. 

Key Responsibilities      

• Harmonize IT teams to engage and deliver project initiatives within budget and timeline: Support departments with project management resources, methodologies, work allocation, reports, Monitor the impacts and interdependencies between demands and resources as well as take required steps to achieve project objectives and manage dependencies to ensure timely deliverables.
• Develop and introduce best practice project delivery approach : Ensure governance procedures are adhered for all projects throughout their project life cycle, create, manage, execute the project workflows and schedules and compile status reports; continuously monitor the progress and refine the process with internal teams.
• Analyse & manage project priorities and strategy, manage risk and issues : with a strong focus on the identification, analysis, response and escalation of key project risks, communicate risk effectively in order to protect project schedule.
• Communicate with business leaders, top management & stakeholders : Communicate with business leaders to manage multiple demands, identify and resolve conflicting issues, compile program status reports and reporting to the top management, manage contract, performance, payment and risk with suppliers/vendors.
• Coordinate, plan and facilitate ongoing communication & meetings : Provide both verbal and written communications regarding project status, benefit, risks and issues, chair / drive internal and external meetings; manage conflicts with both internal and external teams when necessary.
• Participate in PMO evolution and automation, lead and assist with the deployment and use of IT Project Management tools, methodologies and standards within Company.
• Act as project manager for specifically attributed projects and participate in content management system design and development.
• Work with offshore IT team in Beijing and India.
• Perform other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree or higher in Computer Science, IT/Information System.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT project and vendor management; experienced with content management.
• At least 2 years’ experience in project management methodology and familiar with PMO and governance.   
• Knowledge of and solid experience in CMS and Scrum preferably but not a must to have relevant certification, highly proficient in Agile principles and various management tools, e.g., JIRA, Trello, Kanbanize etc.
• Communicative, great sense of ownership and interpersonal skills, persuasive, and an influencer.  Multi-tasked and attentive to details and technicalities. Excellent organizational and technical skills plus time management strong team collaboration skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese +Putonghua).
