Company Description

Our client is a market leader in the financial service industry which specializes in consumer financing with business across Hong Kong and China. They are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continue improving Kubernetes clusters
• Maintain monitoring and alerting tools,
• Ensure system uptime meets the requirement of internal SLA.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD toolset and workflow, ensure applications and services are delivered at high velocity.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, IT or related discipline
• 3 years experience in IT industry, preferably with experience in DevOps
• Solid experience of at least one of the following: Golang, NodeJS, or Python
• Familiar with RDBMS, MySQL or PostgreSQL; For NoSQL, MongoDB. Familiar with Oracle DB is a plus
• Familiar with at least one message queue service, e.g RabbitMQ / Kafka.
• Experience with cloud providers, e.g. AWS / GCP / AliCloud
• Experience with premise environment e.g VMware is an advantage
• Comfortable with Linux command-line environments, familiar with GIT operations.
• Solid experience in using Docker and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
• Familiar with open source monitoring tools, e.g. Prometheus + Thanos, Grafana.
• Experience on implementation of CI/CD pipelines. Experience with GitLab CI and ArgoCD is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the following software and technologies will be an advantage: Nginx, Istio, Traefik, Ambassador, Kong, Vault, Helm, Ansible, ElK.
