Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of team’s business to maximize growth and achieving company financial metrics
- Develop and monitor relevant internal procedures and reporting processes to meet management, corporate, regulatory, and statutory requirements
- Oversee the General Insurance Business Development function to ensure the team operates in a proper and effective manner
- Manage department daily operations to ensure work efficiency and compliance
- Develop and define best practice for the GI team from vendor’s management, Quotation, Placement, Premium collection, Claims Handling and Customer Service
- Provide timely and accurate prospects data to track and monitor activities for management reporting and sales forecasts
- Lead a specialist team to provide professional advice and risk management solution to clients / distributors to ensure the service excellence and customer retentions to uplift sales productivity
- Keep abreast of current market trends and advice on potential product development changes to meet the changing market environment
- Explore new business opportunities and participate actively in upselling/cross-selling initiatives for better penetration
- Build/ Maintain the business relationship with principles and distributors
- Perform ad hoc assignments and projects if necessary
Requirement:
- University graduate with hands on experience in managing the general insurance business portfolio and operations
- With qualifications in IIQE
- Energetic, self-disciplined with strong sense of responsibility, well-organized with detail-minded and can work independently
- Mindset to challenge the “status-quo” and ambitus to be the “first in the market” kind of business
- Minimum 8 years working experience with management in general insurance
- Good communication skills with good command of both written and spoken in Cantonese, English and preferrable Mandarin.
- Proficient in computer software for day-to-day operations.
