Job Description

Major responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a high standard of technical claims competence for handling large & complex P&C Insurance claims from the Commercial and Retails business portfolio.
  • Formulate and implement P&C claims strategy and development plan to achieve the company objectives for profitability and growth;
  • Review current work processes; identify gaps and provide improvements or solutions to increase proficiency and supervise effective resolution of all claim inquiries;
  • Analyze all claims to ensure optimal quality; provide regular and management reports & statistics to various business units; clients and management;
  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of the NL Claims Department;
  • Develop high-quality work teams with clear accountabilities and performance expectations to ensure the ability to deliver high performance;
  • Implement the Group compliance policy to adhere to the relevant local and Group compliance procedures and obtain satisfactory audit and regulators’ review reports;

Qualification and Experience Requirement:
  • Degree holder or tertiary graduate with professional qualifications in insurance or related disciplines;
  • At least 10 years of experience in general insurance, with strong knowledge of the industry’s challenges and competitive landscape. Candidates with less experience will be considered for Manager.
  • Strategic thinking, planning, and organizational skills;
  • Result-oriented, self-motivated, analytical, and detailed-minded in problem-solving;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skill
  • Strong sense of responsibility with a high level of integrity and trust;
  • Experienced in project management and working with stakeholders management at the senior level
  • Good command of English and Chinese in both written and spoken;
  • Sound PC skills in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
