Responsibilities:

• Reporting to senior leadership, this role will assume responsibilities for spearheading marketing and communications strategy and execution for the Park.  Other major functions of this job include:
• Develop integrated marketing and communications strategy that supports and advances the brand awareness and advocacy of the Park and drives positive mindshare that can contribute to the development of the ecosystem in the Park; 
• Drive external relationships and proactive engagement with local and international stakeholders including relevant government departments, regulatory bodies, universities, R&D institutions, industry leaders and NGOs to lobby for their support for the Park’s vision and strategic imperatives; 
• Support business development activities through organizing industry, marketing and community events which engage and appeal to local and overseas tech ventures and startups, incubators, accelerators and top entrepreneurs and talents as well as facilitating partnerships, business matching and corporate engagements;
• Responsible for public affairs, issue and crisis management; taking a proactive role in identifying potential issues, evaluating reputation risks and providing recommendations and communications plans for the senior management; 
• Develop compelling messaging for corporate announcements and speaking platforms; and work closely with the Park’s Chairperson, CEO and other senior leaders to develop content assets, not limited to keynote presentations, social media posts, thought leadership pieces spanning across paid, owned and earned media platforms;
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by Supervisor and CEO.

Requirements:

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related subjects, with at least 12 years of experience in PR, communications, business development and marketing positions, preferably gained in MNC / sizable companies.
• Strong track record in strategic brand management, reputation management and stakeholder engagements for respected companies preferably with presence in Greater China, Greater Bay Area and/or globally.
• Good understanding and appreciation of technology trends.  Ability to work with global and local technology ventures and startups and provide value-added advice and support to them for promoting their innovations.
• Profound understanding and hands-on experience on government relations and excellent in strategic thinking and able to drive the Park’s corporate narratives that align with various business priorities.
• Possess the ability to work with diverse categories of stakeholders and excellent communications skills that can command impact when interacting with industry players, academia, board members and other key stakeholders etc.
• Strong business acumen, problem solving and leadership skills with excellent command of spoken/written English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
