Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Assistant Development Manager, the incumbent will assist in the planning, organizing and implementing of strategies to realize Orbis’ fundraising activities, while supporting the team to expand and manage donor acquisition and retention activities for the different segments. S/he will be proactive in assisting in the exploration of new fundraising opportunities. Other duties include the development department’s day to day operational work, in addition to assist in managing part-time helpers and volunteers, when applicable.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Organize and implement approved fundraising strategies and take care of related arrangements to ensure the successful organizations of these activities and campaigns
  2. Assist in organizing and delivering fundraising and advocacy initiatives to engage the public, includes but not limited to digital campaigns, roadshows, street activities, school talks
  3. Support and contribute towards building awareness and raise funds in different segments
  4. Assist in the development department’s series of activities, including donor recognition activities, carry out research, help to explore new fundraising opportunities, support of donor-initiated fundraising events and others as when applicable
  5. Handle donor incoming calls and enquires, walk-in reception to provide related services and assistance
  6. Take part in managing social media postings and the maintenance of content on Orbis Macau’s website
  7. Support and carry out the development department’s day-to-day operational work to ensure tasks and donation transactions are processed in a smooth, timely and compliant manner
  8. Assist in recruiting volunteers to support fundraising activities and help to maintain the volunteer database
  9. Assist and participate in fundraising and promotional activities with other Orbis offices when needed
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned and requested 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • University degree majoring in business, marketing or related disciplines
  • At least 3 years of solid experience in marketing or fundraising in Macau with demonstrated success in securing income
  • Proven experience in both digital and direct marketing and customer relations
  • Macau ID Holder is a MUST

 KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Attentive to details, with good organizational and time management skills
  • Enthusiastic, with patient and courteous manners
  • Creative and able to work independently with limited resources and under pressure
  • Good team player with a strong sense of responsibility and personal integrity
  • Able to multitask and prioritize
  • Is passionate to work for a non-profit, charity organization
  • Good communications, presentation and interpersonal skills with ability to motivate others
  • Willing to occasionally work outdoor and with flexible schedule
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin is a plus
