Responsibilities:

Contract to a government department to assist in taking forward the design and development work for the implementation of projects under the IT Strategy Plan.

• Responsible for administration, maintenance, configuration, installation and support of databases;
• Participating in technical and administration tasks of database upgrade, database security tools implementations, vulnerability checks, server upgrade and migration;
• Troubleshoot database errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues;
• Perform database performance tuning, patching, change management and upgrade; and
• Create database management procedures.

Requirements:

• Degree/Higher Diploma holder in Computer Science or equivalent;
• Minimum 6 years IT working experience;
• Minimum 3 years experiences as Senior Systems Analyst or similar capacity;
• Minimum 3 years experience in Database administrator;
• Proficiency in the MySQL, PostgreSQL and Mongo database administration;
• Proficient in database architecture design, installation, migration, and upgrade;
• Solid experience in Linux platforms;
• Work experience in large-scale projects preferred;
• Good logic and analytic skills and problem solving skill;
• Good team player, positive attitude, innovative, self-initiating, eager to learn and share with other team members, hardworking, able to work under pressure and work independently.
