Job Description

D-Mop is looking for a Business Director to join our retail business in our Hong Kong office.

In this role, the candidate shall assist the senior management in driving the strategic business initiatives and operations spanning across a wide spectrum of cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate shall have a strong business acumen with good industry knowledge, results-driven, able to identify efficiency and operational gaps, define and implement solutions and able to communicate clearly across the functions and levels to drive to the resolution that contributes to the company.

The candidate must have prior management experience in fashion, branding, e-commerce, ideally in retail management. She/He shall exhibit high standards, strong leadership, communication skills, enthusiastic, self-driven, effective at multi-tasking, and capable to demonstrate in depth understanding of the business.

 Responsibilities:

The responsibilities would span across strategic planning and implementation of key initiatives and projects, drive operational improvements through optimisation of processes and coordination of the various departments to support the company’s growth. The candidate shall actively interact and coordinate operations with various functional teams.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Oversee the daily operations in HK & China
  • Able to leverage data to drive strategic projects from analysis, seeking approvals to final implementation for new business initiatives or enhancement of existing business lines
  • Partner with team leaders to define, develop and implement appropriate best practices to improve the overall KPI across the businesses
  • Ensure teams are aligned and working together cohesively on different projects and initiatives to drive them to the finish line, by facilitating, coordinating, or executing
  • Oversee the quarterly and weekly meetings of various functional teams
  • Implement a performance management framework with an objective setting methodology for each team across the company and oversee the execution of such on a continuous basis.
  • Extend the company’s strategic business plan with senior management on a local as well as a group level. 
  • Initiate and oversee new business development initiatives, in coordination with the senior management and the relevant team leaders in Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, and United States.

  • Flawless attitude and high integrity: You have a high level of integrity, good judgement, and apply discretion to handle and manage highly sensitive, confidential, and non-public information.  You do not speak of others unfairly and you treat all others with respect and dignity.   
  • A perfectionist while humble and inclusive: You’ll always seek continuous improvement, learn from mistakes, and adapt behaviour, based on feedback from customers and colleagues. You are nevertheless open to criticism, altruist and have a strong ethics (respectful, transparent, and honest).
