Responsibilities

To assist the Head of Legal & Compliance in carrying out thefollowing legal functions including but not limited to:- 

• Provide professional legal advice to meet the needs of the business strategy and support in the operational activities
• Work effectively with different business units / stakeholders and be seen as a trusted legal advisor on general commercial and regulatory matters
• Prepare, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements
• Drafted, reviewed and edited investment fund trust deeds, supplemental deeds, investment management agreements
• Reviewed and edited all fund offering documents including offering memorandum, private placing memorandum, product key fact sheets and marketing materials.
• Drafted Pension related documents in response to any enquiry from regulatory body
• Identify, assess, and effectively manage legal risk from time to time; assist with the development of corporate policies and procedures
• Obtain authorization from regulatory bodies for constitutive, offering documents and any notices or announcements
• Liaise with external party and regulators when necessary

 
Requirements 

• University graduate with a degree in law
• Qualified and Practicing lawyer in Hong Kong and preferably a qualified member of ICSA/HKICS
• Minimum 5-7 years of legal experience either in house or professional law firm in corporate trust and pension areas
• Exposure in Investment Fund business or new Fund set up will be an advantage
• Strong analytical, organizational and supervisory skills
• Sound presentation and report writing skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
