Main Responsibilities:

•           Technical Sales and Business Development for Marine Power products for assigned customer base

•           Identify and develop retrofit and newbuilding projects promoting our Marine Power decarbonisation solutions

•           Create Account plans for major customers, execute the plan and update changes throughout the year

•           Visit customers based on weekly planning activities

•           Maintain and further develop present assigned and potential customer relationships

•           Interface with different stakeholders internally in Wartsila to obtain needed support

•           Collect and communicate market intelligence and competitor information

•           Develop, report and assume accountability for sales and sold margin budgeted among assigned customer accounts

•           Propose customer specific budgets based on historical data, market outlook, identified opportunities and strategy

•           Create, maintain and manage all customer data and visit reports and larger opportunities in CRM.

•           Cooperate and coordinate sales activities for global or cross country operating customers with responsible colleagues

•           Ensure that customer inquiries, orders and complaints are responded to in a prompt and satisfactory manner

•           Develop and maintain Customer Satisfaction

Basic Requirements:

•           Bachelor or Master degree (preferable in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering)

•           5 years of sales experience in the maritime sector

•           Proactive Solution based / Strategic selling methodology and willingness to learn

•           Open to new technology and environment that is in a constant change

•           Technically skilled with a proven track record in delivering business results.

•           Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, social and outgoing

•           Excellent presentation skills, negotiation skills and ability to promote solid customer relationships at all levels

•           Proven ability to handle pressure and stress effectively in a complex business environment

•           Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

•           Working knowledge of Office (essential), ERP and CRM (advantage) applications.

•           Previous experience from Shipowner, Ship Management or Shipyard sales business considered an advantage

•           International network and cross-cultural understanding is an advantage
