Job Description

HAECO ITM Limited is a joint venture between HAECO (Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd) and Cathay Pacific, providing inventory technical management services to different airline customers in Hong Kong and around the world. Customers anticipate to benefit saving from the ITM services through synergy of component pooling, sound technical know-how of component engineering, repair and supplier management.

HXITM is now looking for candidates who are interested in this business for the position of Assistant Manager (Inventory Management).

Scope of Duties: 

  • Initiate supply chain optimization study and recommend changes where appropriate to strengthen the control over supply chain and logistics activities
  • Engage with maintenance partners and logistics providers to identify process to meet operational requirements
  • Monitor warehousing, shipping, and logistics functions through service providers to meet operational requirements
  • Recommend changes in inventory level and support model where appropriate based on analysis and simulation on part shortage promptly, by gathering information, interfacing with functional teams, and monitoring shortage recovery continuously
  • Produce and deliver regular inventory reports and maintain relevant database to support inventory operations planning and control in an effective and efficient manner
  • Organize complex data sets whilst providing coaching, support and supervision to junior team members for part data maintenance, scrap replenishment evaluation, and asset reconciliation
  • Interact, communicate, and influence functional teams to action on deficient area based on stock level alert and failed pick analysis
  • Collaborate with industry counter-parts to discuss and develop best practices to ensure process efficiency in fulfilling regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties

Requirements: 

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in logistics, operations management or supply chain management field 
  • A recognized Degree in Business Administration, Business Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines
  • Knowledge and/or experience in aviation or inventory management would be an advantage
  • Certifications in the following are desirable: Supply Chain Management, Lean Six-Sigma
  • Process-oriented, analytical and strong problem solving skills
  • A self-starter, quick learner and good team player
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written
  • Proficiency in preparing reports and presentations using MS Office
