Job Description
The Safety & Security Department, Shared Services provides safety (occupational health and safety (‘OSH’) and aviation safety) and security services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Pacific Catering Services (H.K.) Limited (‘CPCS’), Cathay Pacific Services Limited (‘CPSL’), Hong Kong Airport Services Limited (‘HAS’) and Vogue Laundry Service Limited (‘VLS’).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with line departments in conducting risk assessments on operational activities, reviewing safety & security rules and regulations for the operations
- Assist line departments to execute safety and security management programmes and monitor their safety and security performance
- Conduct accident and incident investigations, recommend preventive measures to ensure compliance with the relevant safety and security legislations, rules and regulations
- Plans, organise and conduct safety and security awareness training and promotional activities
- Assist in monitoring the company's compliance with all relevant OSH legislations and promoting continuous improvements in OSH management system practices
- Oversee the performance and operations of the Safety and Security personnel of HAS
- Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned by the Management
- Degree holder in occupational health and safety or other related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience in safety management gained from sizable organizations, including at least 3 years at supervisory level
- Possess the qualification of Registered Safety Officer
- Good knowledge and solid experience in managing Safety Management System and ISO45001
- Knowledge and experience in aviation security management / attended Aviation Security (AVSEC) training are preferred
- Exposure in airport ramp operations or air cargo / aviation industry will be an advantage
- Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Consistency in delivering high quality work with strong organisational and analytical skills
- Good interpersonal & communication and presentation skills with proactive, tactful and result-oriented personality
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
