Who we are looking for:

What you'll do:
  • Initiate, build & manage government funded R&D projects and consultancy projects by going through market analysis, proposal preparation and project implementation and reporting
  • Conduct R&D work related to “smart systems” like Autonomous Driving/ Artificial Intelligence/ Smart Sensors, Wearables, Smart Furniture, Robotics, AR / VR and immersive technologies etc.
  • Develop Gerontech based on “smart systems” to facilitate service users, caregivers and general public’s understanding on the Gerontech equipment in healthcare institution, home environment and community
  • Proactively communicate and work with clients, teammates and suppliers on product requirements, hardware design & build, software programming, firmware coding and product testing and documentations etc
  • Keep projects progress on track to completion. Compile progress reports in timely manner
  • Organize and/or attend seminars, workshops, conferences & publicity events to disseminate the project results for commercialization and promotion
  • Occasional travels may be required
You'll be a good fit if you have/are: 
  • Bachelor Degree or above in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical & Automation Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Passionate to improve the community’s quality of life through “smart living” technologies adoption
  • Technical skills in embedded software programming / computer vision / machine learning / sensor & IoT communication technologies
  • Knowledge in public health is preferred
  • Solid experience in Python and C / C++ programming is a plus.
  • Solid experience in sensor communication using UART, I2C, BLE and/or WiFi is a plus.
  • Knowledge in AI model development and automotive related embedded systems is an advantage.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, good communication, able to coordinate various resources and achieve common goal as well as able to work under pressure
  • Excellent skills in project management, proposal and report writing preferred
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua
