Objective:

To carry out all husbanding and port formalities for Hapag-Lloyd (HL) operated vessels to ensure smooth transit and operations.

 Job Description :

• To provide ship husbandry and shore assistance to the master and crew members of the vessel.
• To arrange port formalities for HL vessels entering Hong Kong, such as meet & greet, assistance with baggage claims, hotel bookings, shore passes, transportation and offshore transfers, visas, permits, medical assistance, etc.
• Maintain close communication with crew members to provide logistic support and guidance on vessel supplies and provisions, coordinate with local vendors for ship repairing and spares parts clearance and delivery, storage.
• Ensure quick dispatch of HL vessels and keep all relevant parties informed of HK vessel movement.
• To act as port agency for all chartered vessels.
• To arrange on/off survey for vessel if required.
• To coordinate for vessel berthing arrangement with Terminals.
• To answer internal and external inquiry on vessel schedules and particulars.
• Liaison with local authorities (such as marine department, immigration department) for the application of all necessary documentations before vessels arrival, during their stay in port and after vessels departure from Hong Kong.
• To report Hong Kong Marine Department on all onboard Hong Kong dangerous Cargo.
• To arrange and coordinate Hong Kong Pilot and Towing Services for all in-transit to/from Shenzhen Ports (Shekou / Da Chan Bay / Yantian).
• Perform ad hoc duties as required by the Supervisor

Job Requirements:

• DSE graduate or above
• Relevant work experience in shipping / logistic / freight forwarder is a plus
• Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Proficiency in PC skills, including MS Office, Outlook etc.
• Self-motivated, attentive to details and mature mind-set
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Possessing Driving Licence is an advantage
• May work in shift duty and irregular hours including overnight, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
