YOUR ROLE


The role leads and is accountable for:

  • As the lead of Aerospace within the Country Project Department, give and coordinate all Aero commercial and technical operations
  • Coordinating buildup of Transport Plan, Method Statements, including lifting & stowage plans and strength calculations for critical parts
  • Assign vendors, surveyors, carriers to the execution of critical Transport parts
  • Issue Risk Assessments in liaison with vendors and Operation team,
  • Ensure overall technical solution design for operations are documented and endorsed by vendors and clients
  • Monitor Execution and coordinate with all vendors
  • Local, on site, survey activities, and coordinate safe handling on cargo
  • Keeping close relationship with all departments, vendors, clients to deliver the agreed timelines to customers.
  • Report as per client’s and company requirements 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? 

Manage 

  • Commercial and Technical submission for project cargo in coordination with all stakeholders

o   Transport plan, method statement and any documents critical to operations

o   All vendors, surveyors, carriers on SOP and execution plan

o   All coordination required before, during and after operations

  • Risk assessment

o   to undertake and complete the shipment in a safe and efficient manner without accidents or incidents.

o   Support any deviation analysis and follow up as compliance requirement and in line with SOW

  • Cost

o   To drive cost effective options with vendors and carriers

o   To study alternative and cost-effective option

o   To comply at all time with client processes and handling requirement – No short cut admitted 

Ensures

  • Health and Safety rules and regulations are being complied with
  • Subcontractors, heavy lift operators, carriers, hauliers, etc, comply with Method Statement
  • Communication channels with Customers, selected vendors, and Global Project team and at all-time up to date with what has been defined
  • Method Statement being followed or appropriate corrective action taken  

Monitor

  • Healthy and Safe operations
  • Technical Data & Resource Management 

Assist

  • BD or Project Team members with technical analysis of RFI/Q’s and other relevant customer requests
  • BD or Project Team in customer meetings on technical matters  

  Personal Engagement

  • Solves problems and come up with creative solutions
  • Liaises with the clients on technical issues and identifies and communicates operational issues
  • On-site operations support if required.
  • Worldwide Project Logistics market knowledge and commercial understanding
  • Detailed understanding of project cargo & heavy-lift market
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.  

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace degree
  • 5 years min in critical / abnormal field transport related markets
  • Aerospace engine handling experience
  • Good understanding of Freight Forwarding
  • Knowledge of HSSE policies
  • Good understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Analyze complex problems and develop alternative solutions.
