Job Description
Hong Kong Design Institute and Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Lee Wai Lee)

Major Duties:
(a) To assist in planning, managing and provide support in the production, storage, retrieval and access control of using contact management systems;
(b) To be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, enhancements, and information security of digital applications, mobile apps and websites as well as support for email and digital marketing campaigns and its related matters;
(c) To support workplace digitalization such as robotic process automation, BI analytics and adoption of AI/IoT smart solutions for branding, marketing and exhibition activities;
(d) To setup and configure physical / virtual networks, physical connectivity, and to implement backup / disaster recovery procedures;
(e) To provide end-user training and support for the operations of digital solutions;
(f) To supervise contractors in system maintenance and development projects, and oversee the implementation to ensure timely and satisfactory delivery; and
(g) To liaise with various levels of internal and external stakeholders in IT related matters.
Requirements:
(a) A recognized degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and Management Information System, or relevant discipline;
(b) Experience / knowledge / skills in some of the following areas will be an advantage:
(i) Website development and web programming using languages such as Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML5, RESTful API, AJAX, JavaScript, SQL, NET, PHP, Java, ASP, HTML and/or CSS;
(ii) Full cycle application development and implementation, include Agile method and mobile APP development;
(iii) Content management system, customer contact / event management system and e-marketing system;
(iv) Administration and installation of Windows, Mac, Linux and VM Enterprise servers. Experience in Microsoft OS and server application;
(v) LAN / WAN technology and TCP / IP;
(vi) Computer graphics design and video editing;
(vii) Knowledge in AI/IoT and EdTech;
(c) Strong problem solving skills and analytical skills; strong sense of responsibility and able to meet project deadlines;
(d) An excellent team player to work smoothly in different functional roles; and
(e) Good command of English and Chinese.
Notes:
(1) The post is in the rank of Teaching Associate.
(2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English and present their job portfolio at the interview.
(3) Candidates should specify their skills and knowledge of equipment and software on the application form.
(4) The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and weekends when necessary.
