My client is a MNC B2B marketplace platform with a sound reputation in Asia. They have over 15 years of history, global operations and mature team structure in Hong Kong and APAC. My client is also rapidly growing their business in China and Taiwan, with multiple cross-border solutions offering to users. Due to business expansion, they are looking for a System Architect or Solution Architect to join the Hong Kong team.

Responsibility

• Design overall system architecture and deliver the planned design from small to complex scope
• Involve in full system life cycle across define, design, development, delivery and maintenance
• Define and update system architecture requirements for application solutions evaluation and development
• Ensure the application solutions to be acquired, integrated or developed following the application architecture standards with guidelines and meeting the architecture requirements through evaluation process and QA review process
• Support software engineering team in application system implementation in application architecture aspects
• Maintain and promote registered building block and development toolkits to facilitate systems analysts and developers in architecture-based development
• Explore new technology and perform proof of concept to enhance design guideline, registered building block and development toolkits

Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, IT related studies
• 8 years or above software development experience and 2 years or above as a System Architect or Solution Architect
• Experienced in CI/CD, Cloud Service and large scale system architecture design
• Experienced with Web Applications and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, ReactJS, Ruby on rails, HTML, CSS, Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc)
• Proven ability to manage the end-to-end project lifecycles at local & multi-geographical locations in solution architect capacity
• Knowledge of latest cloud security controls and disaster recovery capabilities
• Knowledge of configuration/deployment management, automation and testing tools such as Azure DevOps and Puppet
• Strong business acumen, excellent working attitude, self-motivated and a team player
• Proficient communication skills in English and Chinese
