Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Own planning, implementation, monitor and enhancement of quality management strategies and activities in Asia from sample to bulk goods delivery;
  • Oversee and ensure smooth operations of quality and technical design functions that meets the Company’s quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations;
  • Manage teams of quality inspectors in major production countries, and technical designers at sourcing headquarter in Hong Kong;
  • Constantly look for ways to enhance productivity, efficiency, and team’s capability;
  • According to business and operational needs, establish, review, and modify standard operating procedures, working guidelines, and instructions;
  • Analyse performance and drive constant improvement of vendors, factories, and team members empirically by utilizing quantitative (e.g. KPI) and qualitative (e.g. factory assessment) means;
  • Train and communicate with vendors and factories to ensure thorough understanding in the Company’s expectation, standards, processes, and requirements;
  • Spearhead vendors’ Self Inspection or Self Approval Programmes to ensure adherence to requirements and performance level;
  • Provide management, merchandising and vendors advisory on any quality, technical, compliance, testing, and production related matters;
  • Involve in developing vendor base that meets quality, technical, commercial, compliance, and ethical requirements and standards;
  • Guide team to investigate into quality non-conformance, plan for troubleshooting, build thorough case study and identify opportunities for prevention;
  • Gather, compile, and share intelligence related to the latest updates or trends in production, regulations, technologies, and any industry or quality related subjects;
  • Lead by example in professionalism, productivity, ethics, and integrity;
  • Handle any other ad hoc initiatives or projects as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Quality Management or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in managing quality from brands and/or trading agents in which at least 5 years in Director level;
  • A strong apparel background is necessary and experienced in shoes and fashion accessories is desirable;
  • Managed teams in multiple countries throughout Asia;
  • Excellent management and communication skills;
  • Strong analytical and organizational mindset;
  • Knowledgeable in digital platforms and tools of quality management and technical design;
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin;
  • Willing to travel and work with people from different cultures
