Job Description

Report to the Associate Director, Customer Service in the Centre of Excellence, this role exists to provide support to Customer Fulfillment in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bermuda in various compliance areas (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering (AML), FATCA, CRS reporting and other regulatory requirements). The key result indicators for this role are timely complete periodic compliance checking and reporting with good quality, and meet the timeline of reviewing alerts associated with suspicious and high risk transactions.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily and monthly compliance checks including defined compliance monitoring testing and transaction reporting in particular for AML, FATCA and CRS related issues
  • Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and conduct customer due diligence (CDD), review customer profile and KYC documents for customer on-boarding and triggering events of service requests for in-force policy
  • Review and investigate alerts associated with suspicious transactions and high-risk name matches for policy service transactions; prepares AML assessment report to Compliance for necessary escalations
  • Perform back book Enhanced Due Diligence reviews as required
  • Establish on-going CDD review mechanism and framework, execute regular CDD program as required  
  • Support annual FATCA and CRS related reporting exercise
  • Participate in business and regulatory related projects as required
  • Work closely with Compliance and different functions in Operations, coordinate with related parties to ensure necessary controls and procedures are in place for regulatory compliance
  • Working closely with IT for system enhancement to ensure optimum system requirement for regulatory related controls and policies
  • Perform gap analysis and update related operations procedures for latest regulatory, Compliance requirements and audit reports  
  • Prepare and deliver operation trainings on AML/CTF and other regulatory requirements to Customer Services Team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent education
  • 7 to 8 years life insurance operations experience would be desirable, preferably in Policy Servicing and Customer Service   
  • Sound knowledge of insurance products, compliance processes and regulatory requirements, ideally in the high net worth life insurance market
  • Strong in formulating operational process and good in customer service
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills to proactively identify and initiate actions and practical solutions to implement technical concepts
  • Able to work independently and communicate effectively across multiple disciplines
  • Detail-oriented, diligent, dedicated to assigned duties
  • Good time management
  • Good command of both oral and written English
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
