Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to Manager of Legal Services & Examination, the incumbent is required to:
  • set and review examination questions for the qualifying examinations; review and update exam-related documentation; conduct research and implement proper measures for qualifying examinations
  • co-ordinate the administration of the examinations with the outsourced service provider
  • manage the examination enquiry hotline
  • make appropriate recommendations on examination breaches and penalties; prepare and compile examination-related statistics
  • assist in formulating and reviewing policies for qualifying examinations; supervising and coaching team members in the performance of their duties
  • perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors and senior management
Requirements
  • A recognized university degree, preferably in Law
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience, or at least 3 years’ solid experience in conveyancing and/or litigation 
  • A qualified solicitor or barrister with at least one year post-qualification experience in the practice of Hong Kong law may be exempted from the above requirements
  • Management/ Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Preferably attained Grade “C” or above in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in HKCEE, or Level 4 or above in HKDSEE, or equivalent)
  • Good understanding of the real estate market operations in Hong Kong
  • Innovative and meticulous
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and a team player
Terms of Appointment
Competitive remuneration package commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointee will initially be offered a 3-year contract, subject to renewal upon satisfactory performance and the service needs of the Authority.
