Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure delivery of superior service to each account by offering individual support to users, including but is not limited to, offering details about CEIC/EMIS underlying databases, service content, analytic and search or screening capabilities.
  • Ensure all client account information is updated in relevant CRM systems, on a real-time basis.
  • Provide personalized training for the new and existing users.
  • Continually identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts and proactively work to ensure opportunities are captured sufficiently to achieve set monthly, quarterly or annual targets. This will be accomplished through securing usage growth on selected products, generating new opportunities, and by following and developing opportunities through sound client relationship management practices.
  • Conduct detailed, weekly pipeline/renewal reviews with the Regional Sales Director (RSD)/Department Head in your region to ensure the number and quality of opportunities in the pipeline is sufficient to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. These reviews should also ensure that opportunities are consistently and expeditiously progressing through the pipeline.
  • Responsible for consistently and completely entering and updating all opportunities or renewal activity in the ISI CRM system in a timely manner. These updates are to include a minimum number of call reports per week, as specified by the RSD, each including, contact details, lead sources, and opportunity status.
  • Serve as a conduit between users and CEIC/EMIS Product teams to continually deliver product requirement or enhancement requests and to follow those requests through the implementation process.
  • Complete monthly sales/renewals forecasts at an accuracy level specified by the RSD.
  • Consistently monitor the usage of every customer within your responsibility, seeking to identify low usage accounts and proactively offer them additional training or assistance to ensure satisfaction.
  • Meet or contact each account in your area of responsibility at least once every 90 days.
  • Maintain an active relationship with the Marketing team to ensure clients and users are informed of product changes and enhancements and to keep internal teams abreast of changing market or competitor activity.
  • Attend events, as necessary, interacting with clients and prospects, collecting contact information, promoting CEIC/EMIS and distributing material.
  • Actively manage existing accounts by penetrating into different departments within clients’ organization to grow number of users.
  • The role may involve light cold calling activities to assist in getting new business leads within assigned territory.
  • As requested, assist Accounting/Collections with the resolution of late or unpaid invoices.
  • To be able to finish all the tasks assigned by the company and supervisor.
  • Occasional travel is needed.
  • Report directly to Head of Account Manager, Hong Kong & Taiwan based in Hong Kong.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics or related business disciplines.
  • At least 3-5 years in direct sales or account management experience in financial or related industries. Prior experience with client servicing in the investment field will be an advantage.
  • Keen interest and understanding of the Financial and Banking environment, government, academic and the market data/research requirements of divisions in these industries such as Corporate Banking, Credit Research, Risk Management, Equities Research, Fund Management, Economists, Corporate Finance, Corporate Planning, Government think tank and research centre, University library etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin is a must.
  • Experience in using Salesforce is a plus.
  • Aggressive, self-motivated, mature and target oriented.
  • Feasible for business trip.
