The role is responsible for managing and supervising the daily operations of our analytical chemistry laboratory.

What you will be doing?

• Oversee laboratory day-to-day operations to maximize the resources and manpower efficiency that meet project timeline and fulfill international standard and regulation 
• Keep abreast with the latest test capability development trend and methodologies, identify needs and provide solutions to management according to the business development strategies
• Identify learning initiatives and provide on-the-training that facilitate teammate development and provide high quality testing
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide professional technical consultation for client as required.
• Identify potential issues in the laboratory; analyze and provide timely resolution of technical problems.
• Owner of the accreditation status of laboratory
• Implement, maintain and improve the quality management system according to requirements in ISO/IEC 17025.

You need to be

• Degree holder or above, preferable in Analytical Chemistry or Textile chemistry or equivalent discipline.
• At least 10 years’ solid experience in laboratory supervision/management.
• Familiarity with International Standards and regulations in the textile industry.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and accreditations requirement.
• Knowledge in operating analytical instruments, including but not limited to LC-MSMS, GC-MSMS and ICP-MS, AAS, UV-Vis etc.
• Excellent leadership skills to manage, motivate and coach team members to ensure delivery of quality service in a timely manner.
• Analytical mindset, logical thinking, good trouble shooting and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
