Job Description

Job Responsibility

You will be mainly involved in 6 tasks:

Zero Destruction

Support CSR Managers in Hong-Kong, Panama & Troyes to ensure 100% of our wastes are recycled. Your role will be to develop audit & performance scoring tools, to phase a roadmap with teams, develop KPIs and ensure a follow-up. You will animate regular meetings to keep communications open and make a smooth strategy implementation. KPIs will be reported to the global CSR team to feed the “Durable Elegance” strategic committee.

You might also visit factories and recyclers by yourself.

Circularity

You will discuss with our markets to find opportunities to launch take-back programs in-store and on-line. You will contribute to build the model (accepted products, logistics, recycling solutions, etc.) and to sum-up all the learnings from the initiatives to build a worldwide take-back program.

Recyclability

Lacoste developed a tool enabling the recyclability analysis of our products. It needs to be updated with real practices from the field. Thus, in relation to Zero Destruction, you will need to sum-up what are the mature technologies, what products remain difficult to recycle, why, etc. The tool is yearly updated.

You will also contribute to write guidelines and training of our design teams to help them including recyclability as a parameter in their eco-design journey.

Eco-friendly fabrics

Based on our Product and Design teams expectations, you will guide our Fabrics teams in Panama, Hong-Kong and Troyes to develop sustainable (e.g. recycled, organic, etc.), cost-efficient and long-lasting fabrics. By being at the interface of these 2 worlds, you will be the bridge between style and technical expertise.

Product environmental footprint

You will identify the main environmental burdens in our products (e.g. dyeing, printing, etc.) and design a data collection framework. You will then be in direct contact with our factories to get the most accurate data and be able to make simulation through our LCA tool. That way you will be able to identify leverages to improve the footprint of our products (carbon, water, eutrophication, land use).

Technological watch

With a scientific approach, you will analyze innovative and sustainable technologies that can support us in achieving targets. More especially, you will look for product dismantling, waste sorting & recycling technologies, but also related to textile core processes (e.g. spinning, dyeing, knitting, etc.), water management, chemicals & energy.
