Your role within the team 
The Senior Global Planning Manager is responsible to orchestrate end to end global planning process and governance for ANC (Adult Nutrition Care) business from tactical to strategic levels, ensure most optimized customer service and inventory level at company level. He/she will be defining and formulating global supply strategies, leading monthly global planning activities and creating collaborative partnership with key internal/external stakeholders from ANC commercial and functional areas to ensure continuous supply for achieving strategic growth of business. This role is also accountable for driving continuous process improvement, planning capabilities and Global Planning team development.

Key responsibilities include: 

Global Supply Management

  • Monitor global business climate (business trend/ focuses/ priorities) through active engagement in regional S&OP meetings; analyze given business intelligence in development of supply strategies for individual region.
  • Lead monthly globally supply planning and associated PO issuance/approval processes to ensure smooth production, on time delivery as well as adhering to the pre-defined monthly planning cadence.
  • Strategic partnership with contract manufacturers (CMs) to ensure on time supply service, tracking regularly on latest supply situation, identify potential risk and possible resolution in proactive manner.
  • Work cross functionally to develop agile supply solutions for accommodating global supply chain challenges and unexpected demand variances.
  • Liaise with global sourcing/procurement for material sourcing strategy, volume commitment, production capacity and mitigation of material supply risk
  • Provide continuous supply visibility to regions and key stakeholder, highlight potential risk and track progress across issue resolution process.
Inventory optimization
  • Define and align with regions on inventory policy with full consideration of key driven factors (e.g. ABC segment, Supply LT, demand/supply variances)
  • Ensure planning decisions are continuously driving inventories to policy levels, driving cost and managing a balance between cost to serve, inventory and service levels
  • Collaborate with regional SC teams on driving analysis on inventory health level (slow moving, obsolescence, phase in/out, etc); liaise with Finance team to provide inventory budget and projection visibility to other stakeholders.
Product Lifecycle Management
  • Liaise with PMO and regions to understand and support upcoming New Product Introduction/Extension, product phase in/phase out plan for supply strategy development.
  • Validate and identify potential risk (service level and inventory) for launch/transition plan; close linkage and collaboration with cross functions to ensure readiness of master data and planning parameters setup.
Performance management and capabilities development
  • Provide visibility, analysis and monitor effectiveness of planning performance through relevant KPIs (DIFOT, Supply Plan attainment, Delivery Attainment, etc)
  • Provide coaching, feedback and business guidance to the supply planning team for achieving excellence in E2E supply chain planning processes.
  • Promote automation and simplification on planning activities with support of digitalization to achieve higher accuracy and efficiency; document internal processes and policies for training purposes.
  • Drive data consistency and integrity Global ERP (GSP – NetSuite), and act as SME to provide enhancement recommendations with BT/PMO teams.
  • Support/Lead new global initiatives and process improvement projects as required.
Desired Skills and Experience 

To make sure we are setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Planning/ Business.
  • Minimum 10 years in Supply Chain planning and/or Supply Chain operational experience with minimum 4 years team management experience (direct report) in Consumer Health/ Beauty/CPG (Consumer Package Goods) or relevant industries.
  • Excellent in handling complex data and models.
  • Worked with cross-functional teams in complex and changing environment.
  • Willing to support at odd hours to accommodate different time zones.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge with Sales and Operations (S&OP) Process and practical experience working with Contract Manufacturers or vendors.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Powerpoint and practical experience with ERP (e.g. AX / Oracle / SAP) are essential.
  • Excellent command of spoken English & Mandarin.
