Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
- Monitoring VSL daily reports
- Correct the error and exception if any
- Monitoring Speed and Consumption
- Port Performance Monitoring
Trim Optimization
- Weather Monitoring and WNI route
- Make full use of BI to optimize operations
- Summarize operations issues and resolutions, cost & details to be reported on monthly basis
- Data maintenance of BI
Voyage Plan
- Create Voyage plan for each VSL/VOY prior commence
- Coordinate for Rotation change, Port omission or adding
- Update the Plan if necessary
Bunkering
- Make Bunkering forecast for next month
- Coordinate with ZIMFUEL for best Bunkering port
- Check and confirm with ship for bunkering quantity
- Create PREQ in SAP and submit to ZIMFUEL in due advance
- Monitoring Bunkering report be properly received
Reporting
- Creating Fuel Report and Voyage Summary at end of each voyage
- Monthly Saving and extra cost reports
- Monthly Operations exception reports
Stevedores
- Check and follow up vessel damage reports for claim and repair, foresee consequence of the damage and arrange accordingly guided by operation manager
- Collecting evidence and supporting documents
- Arranging repairing by crew or shore workshop
- Claiming the cost to responsible parties
Special Cargo
- Checking/Approving DG loading which in restriction list
- Monitoring RF container onboard and inform concerned parties for repairing/services if needed
- Coordinate RF spare parts supply/offloading when vessel phase out
DG Approval
- In accordance with C/P and ZIM DG procedures for Owned and Chartered vessels, check and approval DG shipments
- Check vessel’s schedule via DG which shall not impede/jeopardize the schedule
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime / Shipping / Logistics preferred
- With 5 years or more experiences in the shipping industry or related fields
- Licensed member of Deck Department as a Master
- Candidates with sea going experience is highly preferred
- Thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations of international shipping
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese
- Proficient computer skills
