Job Description

Major Duties of Term IT Innovation Specialist:
(a) To analyse operational workflow and design system flow for enhancement and maintenance of web and mobile applications with various tools and technologies;
(b) To collect user requirements, transform into functional specifications for system development, conduct user acceptance test and respective training to users;
(c) To provide data management support by using SQL and provide end-user support for IT systems;
(d) To liaise with vendors / other divisions on IT projects and to handle procurements and assist tender evaluation of IT related facilities;
(e) To implement information security measures and review the effectiveness of controls; and
(f) To provide operational support for Windows / Linux / Virtualisation platforms.
Requirements for Term IT Innovation Specialist:
(a) (i) A recognised degree in IT or equivalent with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience; OR
(ii) A recognised higher diploma in IT or equivalent with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience;
(b) Preferably with experience / knowledge / skills in some of the following areas:
(i) Hands-on experience in using SQL;
(ii) Web portal development and UX design;
(iii) RESTful API, AJAX, JavaScript and/or .NET development;
(iv) System administration (MS Windows / Red Hat / CentOS);
(c) Preferably with basic knowledge in data management by Power BI;
(d) Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(e) Good interpersonal skills, self-initiative and be a good team player.
Notes :
(1) The post in the rank of “Officer”.
(2) Applicants without the qualifications required but have completed a recognised diploma or higher certification in a relevant discipline and at least 2 years relevant experience may be considered for the post of Term Technician.
(3) Applicants who are immediate available will be preferred.
(4) The appointee may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and /or at different work locations on a need basis.
