Key elements of the job will involve:

Application support

• Assist IT Application Support Lead in planning, directing, coordinating, managing support team;
• Providing first line production application support for the securities, futures trading or operations, retail and institutional business, outside working hours if required;
• Manage, resolve and investigate production system issues with in-house developer, system vendors and follow through the cases.
• Focused on trading systems, mobile trading, institutional trading, settlement system, AML and finance system;
• Plan and execute internal testing for system upgrade with documented result as according to company standards and procedures;
• Assist in user acceptance test and execute system deployments;
• Perform routine health check and maintain the system stability and availability for HK and global markets.
• Provide technical assistance to external customers on self-develop system.
• Provide phone or remote support in non-office hour in case required.
• User management, configuration management and software promotion/release to various system environments
• Perform Incident and Change Management, provide the incident report to management
• Monitor the service quality of Application Support and ensure is has strictly followed the International Standard and Company operating procedures
• Occasional weekend support roster for system release is required
• Other work assigned by the management

Business Analysis and Project Management

• Gather and analyse system requirement from various user department and translate into business or technical specification;
• Assist in project management of application development projects as according to project management processes;
• Participate in system implementation projects and change management with project team;
• Conduct and coordinate UAT and regression test for the on-going system upgrades;
• Work with business to understand their requirements and to provide recommendations and solutions.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3-year experience in first line application support for the equity business, futures trading or operations.
• At least 2-year experience is in first line support role using Ayers / iAsia / Sharp Point / eSunny systems or other BSS Vendors are preferred.
• Sound knowledge of trading and settlement system functionality, operation flow, HKEx and global market connectivity are essential.
• Experience in dealing with end users and system vendors, problems solving and troubleshooting production issues for the systems.
• Solid experience in system problem solving, skills on production issue handling and production deployment are essential.
• Exposure to other technical skills and application infrastructure e.g. SQL query, FIX, Windows schedule, VM Ware, application backup, application monitoring and reporting is preferable.
• Experience in using issue or bug tracking systems, helpdesk system is added advantage.
• Knowledgeable in new technology, different types of open-source tools, up-to-date programming skills an added advantage.
• Team player, responsible, independent, self-starter, motivated, multitasking and able to take initiative to get jobs completed.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
