Responsibilities  

• Responsible for researching, covering and reporting daily news and features 
• Responsible for publishing content for the website and social media platform 
• Delivering quality, unbiased, clear and original news content 
• Contribute story ideas and line up interviews 
• Identify trending and newsworthy stories, pitch ideas to editors
• Analyse and understand how to recirculate readers to keep them engaged with the content 

Requirements  

• Degree holder in Journalism, Communications, or any related discipline with a proven ability in journalism reporting and writing required 
• Minimum 3 years of experience in journalism, media, content creation or in a similar role 
• Experience in lifestyle column is an advantage
• Solid understanding of news writing, journalistic ethics and story structure 
• Sound local knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
• Ability to work independently under deadline pressure 
• Good organisation skills and resourcefulness
