Job Description
The Position
The President is the chief executive and academic leader of UOWCHK, working in close alignment and reporting to the Group CEO of UOW Global Enterprises located in Australia. The President serves as a member of the Board of Governors and the College Council, and is supported by two Vice-Presidents, Deans of Faculty, and the Secretary for Finance & Operations.
The Candidate
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess The Following Attributes
- A proven track record of strong administrative and academic leadership in managing a tertiary institution. Experience in self-financing tertiary institution would be an advantage.
- A good understanding of the Hong Kong and Mainland education sectors, education policies and the economic environment with an international outlook
- A network with the education and business sectors as well as a successful record of fostering partnerships and collaboration with professional bodies, government departments and agencies with the ability to lead the College to further develop in the Mainland
- Good academic qualifications - a higher degree and standing in his/her field of expertise
- Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in English. Proficiency in Chinese, including Putonghua would be an advantage

“UOWCHK”, formerly Community College of City University (“CCCU”), is registered under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap 320) in Hong Kong. We are part of the University of Wollongong (UOW) global network in Dubai, Malaysia and Australia with about 2,000 students.
