Job Description

This position in the Corporate Services - Corporate Communications Unit provides exciting opportunities for exposure and involvement in all aspects of client relationship management, event management and communication functions at corporate level.

Responsibilities
Corporate Communications Unit is responsible for initiating, managing and implementing corporate communications activities and organising corporate events. Reporting to the Head of Executive Support and Corporate Communications, the appointee is responsible for a portfolio of duties that include, to:

(a)  Support the organisation of corporate events and activities;

(b)  Maintain the content and monitor the usage of the corporate website and intranet, including participation in system enhancements;

(c) Support the preparation, editing and proofreading of corporate communication materials such as powerpoint presentations, promotional brochures, annual reports, newsletters;

(d)  Compile daily newspaper clippings for internal distribution;

(e)  Manage the Corporate Communications email account;

(f) Assist in processing enquiries, complaints or appeals from a wide range of stakeholders; and

(g) Handle any other administrative duties in relation to Executive Support and Corporate Communications functions.

Requirements
Applicants should possess a first degree comparable to HKQF Level 5 preferably in languages, translation, communications/public relations, commerce and management, with at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in communications, client relationship management, events and promotional campaigns or public relations work. We are looking for a self-motivated, creative, responsible and meticulous person who has a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; proficiency in MS Powerpoint, Excel, Access, Word; and experience in website content management. Being resourceful, proactive, flexible as well as a team player is essential.  Work experience in the education, publishing or public administration sectors, and working knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe or similar software is an advantage.

Conditions of Service and Application Procedures
Initial appointment will normally be made on a two-year contract subject to renewal.  We offer competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, contract-end gratuity, plus fringe benefits including annual leave and medical and dental benefits.
