ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of Account Managers is to keep the customer – and the agency — satisfied. Your role will be to handle a handful of Social and marketing accounts and serve as the primary point of agency contact for clients. Your job is to communicate both good and bad news to a client with tact and aplomb, answer questions, and make certain they receive what they asked for as part of their agency contractual agreement.

It’s a challenging role requiring a careful balance between the client’s needs, wants and priorities, and the agency’s bottom line. You will play a crucial role in client retention as well as potentially bringing in new business as part of an existing client referral process.

Account Manager must develop an understanding of:

  • The client’s business model
  • The marketplace and factors affecting sales
  • Advertising techniques from creative, research and media outreach

The ideal Account Manager knows when to push and when to let things simmer. The Account Manager’s job duties include having a strong but non-aggressive leadership style, as they ultimately control the agencies use of time and resources, and then present the product deliverables to the client satisfaction while maintaining agency’s work integrity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the client relationship
  • Work with project supervisors, content planners and creative team members to provide integrated solutions to client’s marketing and media needs.
  • Management of the day-to-day client activities and delivery of work
  • Management of the strategic and longer-term planning of the overall client account
  • Delivery of small and large creative campaigns
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure your projects are suitably resourced
  • Oversee social profile management inc. calendars of activity and ensure that it remains aligned to the wider strategy
  • Ensure that agency process in being followed
  • Ensure excellence across all deliverables
  • Financial management and oversight of your account and projects
  • Thoroughly understands the development of advertising and is able to dig for more information.
  • To understand and participate in the creative process.
  • To manage financial process effectively and profitably.
  • Commercial sense and sensitive to numbers and profitability
    and ROI for each project is highly essential.

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
  • 3 to 4 years of 4As, digital agency, social media agency experience preferably.
  • Ability to manage multi-task well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop strong relationship, both internally and externally, and feel comfortable interacting with people from different disciplines, countries and cultures.
  • Must be well organized and have strong quantitative/analytical skills.
  • Must be numerate and have strong attention to detail.
  • Interest in learning new trends and developments in marketing, media, advertising and digital.
  • Importantly, must be passionate about building a career in advertising, social and content field.
  • On trend with the latest popular culture both local and internationally.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese) is a must.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Immediate availability is preferred.
