Job Description

Job Objective:

  • Work closely with Global Sources' marketing team and business analytics team to identify marketing effectiveness of various marketing channels
  • Own and provide in-depth quantitative analysis & reports

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Own, prepare and present articulate reports based on vast amount of data from various data sources (e.g. data warehouse, digital tracking tools).
  2. Drive in-depth quantitative analysis and communicate business insights to management.
  3. Own and drive certain data analysis and database management projects on buyer community development
  4. Assist in marketing planning, facilitate tracking of digital/offline channel effectiveness, set performance KPIs, track and evaluate marketing performance
  5. Maintain the data integrity and accuracy in marketing planning, implementation and reporting.
  6. Support ad-hoc marketing data requirements.
  7. Assist the manager to supervise junior staff on data analysis and other tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree majored in Marketing, Information Science, Statistics, etc.
  • At least 5 years of concrete experience in business data analysis experience
  • B2B marketing or customer segmentation management experience preferred.
  • Experience in CRM, database marketing and database projects preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, able to translate statistical data into business insight to augment managerial decision-making.
  • Data modeling experience is a plus.
  • Experience in using digital tracking tools e.g. Google Analytics or other similar systems.
  • Strong in MS excel, data mining languages like SQL, open-source R or Python, and data visualization using BI tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc).
  • Proficiency in Mandarin & English. Proficiency in Cantonese a plus.
  • Proactive, willing to take up challenges and strong problem-solving skill.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks by focusing on the team goals.
  • Hard-working and can-do attitude
  • Candidate with less experience would be considered as Marketing Analyst.
