Job Description

THE JOB:

The focus of the Senior Sales Executive (SSE) is on achieving results that are aligned with the overall organization and its strategic goals.  Being aggressive, disciplined, self-motivated, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, are the keys to achieving the performance objectives of the SSE role at Expeditors.

The SSE orchestrates involvement of multiple people in our sales process, so that new customer revenue is consistently secured for our Hong Kong office and Expeditors network. The job environment is flexible, constantly changing, and provides growth opportunity, recognition and reward for the achievement of business results.

These are the minimum results expected from a successful SSE:

  • Manage an assigned territory or cluster of clientele, demonstrate extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors in this area, and achieve/exceed the sales budget.
  • Orchestrate customer / branch relationships, and collaborate with regional and overseas resources, to support creation of the best solution that brings value to customer.
  • Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions and information transfer. 
  • Maintain high integrity in the Customer Relationship Management tool.
  • When needed, support accounts receivable collection.
  • Attend training & development sessions to continue developing selling skills and updating Expeditors Product and Service knowledge.
  • This position reports to the District Sales Manager (head of sales and marketing).

QUALIFICATIONS:

We prefer candidate who is at least tertiary educated of any discipline, possesses excellent knowledge of the seasonal logistics patterns and requirements of key industries, and with at least 5 years solid sales experience in sizeable 3PL company in Hong Kong. 

In addition, these are desired skill-sets and characteristics of a SSE:

  • Good oral and written proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
  • Ability to work productively both individually and in a team environment
  • Good PC knowledge, especially those contemporary applications around email, conferencing, presentation, spreadsheet, etc.
  • Ability to communicate accurately, clearly and as intended.  It requires skills to gather, organize and convey information in a way that makes someone trust you.
  • Aggressive, disciplined, self-motivated, and with good sense of priority vs urgency.
  • Potential candidates with less experience are also welcome (will be considered as District Sales Executive).
