Job Description

You will be responsible for:

  • working with internal artistic teams, producers, artistic partners and hirers, to understand and execute the technical and productions aspects of their artistic goals;
  • managing the technical and operational support to performing arts outdoor and indoor productions and events to be held at WKCD and other venues including all aspects of pre-production, planning and execution;
  • supervising the operations of the technical/ theatre equipment at the WKCD venues in accordance with the menu/ protocol/ practice set out;
  • developing technical productions operational plan including manpower requirement, hiring structure and process, policy and operating procedure and etc.;
  • training and developing technical and productions staff; and
  • contributing to the planning of the user requirements for the performing arts facilities and technical system equipment.

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree or equivalent;
  • possess at least 8 years of experience in technical and productions support for outdoor and indoor events;
  • have solid experience and knowledge in managing back-of-house operations, performing arts productions, stage operation, lighting and sound production;
  • preferably have experience and knowledge in drawing preparation such as AutoCAD, Intergraph, 3D modelling and graphic design or equivalent;
  • have good supervisory skills and be knowledgeable in budgeting and production management; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
