INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING AND ANALYTICS OFFICE

Analyst (Ref. 22060908-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)     conduct analyses on topics such as ranking simulation and projection, bibliometric analysis, and benchmarking reports;

(b)     provide support to prepare user guides and web pages for different analytics tools and systems;

(c)     liaise with different parties for UGC open access exercise;

(d)     develop customized dashboards, presentations, and report tools on university-wide data and performance and assist the automation of current data gathering and reporting systems in conjunction with academic/administrative units of the University; and 

(e)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)     a recognized degree, preferably in Library Science or Information Systems;

(b)     at least five years of post-qualification relevant work experience;

(c)     good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, and be able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; and

(d)     a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Preference will be given to those with knowledge of open access, research data management, and external data platforms, such as Scopus, SciVal, Pure, WoS, and InCites.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
